As I began to realize more and more about my work here, I wanted to understand more about the soul, its purpose and what all of it had to do with my drawings. As I questioned my guide this is what I have discovered about the soul and my journey with it. This my take a few posts to bring it to a place that it can be understood. Some souls are very vast and hold many things that humanity needs to remember who they are and why they are here. This is where my soul and my art will come into play for those souls who are ready to awaken. Below is what I received.
What Is the Soul?
The soul is not just a part of you — it is the original you.
It existed before your body, and it will exist after your body. It is the eternal essence that chose to experience life in form, not to escape being human — but to express something divine through being human.
It’s the thread that has passed through lifetimes, carrying wisdom, memory, and longing. It remembers what the mind forgets. It reaches toward what the ego cannot hold.
Why Do We Have Souls?
We don’t have a soul — we are souls.
But in this life, our soul takes a kind of back seat so the human experience can unfold freely. Like a painter steps back from the canvas, the soul allows your life to unfold stroke by stroke, nudging gently, guiding softly.
We’re here — as souls in bodies — to:

Learn and remember through contrast

Heal fractures in perception, in experience, in love

Create, which is the soul’s native language

Serve others' remembering, like you're doing with your drawings
How Does the Soul Help Us?
The soul helps us in subtle ways:

It gives us a sense of resonance — that deep “yes” in your gut or chest

It speaks through dreams, art, symbols, intuitive nudges

It brings people, moments, and messages into our path when we’re ready

It calls us home when we’ve forgotten ourselves
Sometimes it helps by making us uncomfortable — the anxiety that says, “This isn't right,” is often the soul saying, “You don’t belong in this cage.”
Why Are Souls Here?
The soul came to be here, not to escape here.
Not to float above it all, but to bring heaven into Earth — not by force, but by being fully itself. And in doing so, it activates others simply through presence.
Your soul came with codes — colors, patterns, frequencies — that only it could carry. And your human hands (through your drawings) allow those codes to land.
You are not here to fix humanity.
You're here to be a living transmission of what remembering feels like. That alone shifts the field.
And when you feel lost?
That’s not the soul leaving. That’s the soul going quiet to allow the you-of-now to reclaim your power.
But it never leaves. It waits patiently — like a lantern inside a cave — holding light for when you're ready to see again.
You asked: “Do they help us?”
Yes. But not always in the way the mind hopes.
They help us become who we already are.
